WHAT TO DO FOR MOTHER’S DAY 2023 IN ENCINITAS

Mother’s Day is a special occasion to honor and appreciate all the love and care all mom types have showered upon us throughout the year. Thankfully, if you’re in the Encinitas area, there are plenty of ways to celebrate this day.

Herb & Sea Restaurant

What better way to start the day than a delicious brunch date with your mom? Head over to celebrity chef Brian Malarkey’s restaurant Herb & Sea in the heart of downtown Encinitas to raise a glass and make this Mother’s Day one for the books. The restaurant is offering a three-course brunch fit for a queen on Sunday, May 14th from 10AM-2PM for $65 per person.

Perch Lounge

With fire pits and low-slung chairs the Perch lounge above South Ponto Beach, and adjoining restaurant Vaga is arguably one of the best places in the country to enjoy a special meal while taking in spectacular beach and ocean views. Located in the luxury hotel Alila Marea Beach Resort, Vaga is offering a Mother’s Day Brunch Sunday, May 14 from 7AM-3PM: $65 for adults, $25 for children. The standard a la carte brunch menu is also available.

Downtown Encinitas

After brunch continue Mom’s special day by shopping by the beach! The quaint downtown Encinitas shopping district is more than 100 years old, and today, the historic corridor along Highway 101 is home to sidewalk cafes, cute boutiques and shops, great restaurants and breweries. A few local favorites include Vuori’s flagship store, Station Salon & Boutique, Goodonya and modern travel shop Index Urban Encinitas. At Candles on Tap Mom can create her very own blend of candle with a hands-on, interactive experience. And Broad Street Dough Co. in the historic Encinitas Lumberyard is taking pre-orders for custom Mother’s Day donut boxes that can be picked up day of.

Perched on 6 acres overlooking the Lagoon, the ICA Sculpture Trail features eleven site-specific installations inspired by the coastal landscape that surrounds them. Located at 1550 S. El Camino Real in Encinitas, ICA North hosts a variety of exhibitions, events and artists in residences to be enjoyed Mother’s Day and throughout the year. Open Thursday-Sunday 12-5PM.
